Public Art Plan for the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway’s Chinatown Park

The Chinatown Gateway Coalition is hosting a community meeting to create an art plan for the feasibility and use of public art for the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway’s Chinatown Park. The purpose of Chinatown Park Public Art Plan is to develop a plan to guide the future installation of public art for the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway’s Chinatown Park.
The plan will examine appropriate locations and possible themes for permanent artworks, as well as suitable facilities for temporary displays at special events, to be installed in the park. Three community meetings will be held to share the collective and historical experiences of Boston Chinatown and the surrounding neighborhoods. Participants will be asked to give ideas and comments at these three meetings. Upon completion of the community meetings, a Request for Qualifications will be drafted to invite artists to submit design proposals.
